As a young child I was very mechanically inclined and inquisitive. I worked side by side, hand in hand with my father at a very fast-paced Body Shop honing my skills. When I was 18 I made a decision to give Plumbing.
This led me to work for the largest plumbing company in the city of New York, Par Plumbing. I worked in the municipality Department handling all five boroughs. I later transferred to the local 200 Plumbing Union on Long Island. There I worked for various different shops, elevating myself to handle high-end institutional projects such as Nature’s Bounty Pharmaceuticals. There I specialized in medical gas and TIG welding of stainless steel and carbon steel.
Finally, my dream happened, I opened Gerken Plumbing and Heating Inc. Gerken is a people oriented and affordable full service Plumbing Company handling service calls that include custom built multi-million dollar mansions, commercial and institutional work.
Brian and his lead supervisor Jimmy are union trained. All of the mechanics working at Gerken Plumbing and Heating are highly trained to handle the smallest to largest of projects with ease.
